Liverpool's season went from bad to worse on Sunday, when they surrendered an early lead to lose at struggling Palace.

After just 12 games, last year's runner-up is failing to hit the heights that saw the side push Manchester City to the final day of the title race.

Rickie Lambert netted his first goal for Liverpool inside two minutes at Selhurst Park but that was as good as it got for Liverpool.

Dwight Gayle leveled before the break, while Joe Ledley and Mile Jedinak scored three minutes apart to give Palace its first win since September.

As Palace rose to 15th, Liverpool are only two points better off in 12th. Liverpool, struggling without Luis Suarez this season, has lost their last four matches in all competitions.
