Matthijs De Ligt put Ajax in control of the Champions League semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur after the 19-year-old captain put the Dutch side ahead after just four minutes.

Leading 1-0 from the first-leg, De Ligt leapt highest at the near post and angled his header across the face of goal into the corner.

Ajax then threatened to put the tie to bed in a dominant period before Spurs regathered their senses.

Son Heung-min had a brilliant chance to put the match back on level terms, while Dele Alli too saw his curled effort towards the far corner drift harmlessly wide.

Spurs now need to score three goals to advance to the final and face Liverpool. Watch the goal below:
