Bolton have been forced to close their training ground after a shortage of food and drink.
The Eddie Davies Academy at Lostock remained locked on Monday morning as financial issues continue to mount.
While Phil Parkinson’s side were not due to train on Monday, fringe squad players, medical and support staff were told to not report to training, report The Bolton News.
A shortage of food and drinks is the latest issue hitting the Championship club, who did not pay any of their staff their February wage due last Thursday.
And owner Ken Anderson has offered no guarantees wages will be paid before he sells the club.
Emergency funds are being sort to pay immediate bills, with the Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust looking into options.
The Football Ventures (Whites) consortium, headed by Parminder Basran and Sharron Brittan, were previously keen on a takeover, but they have now walked away from a potential deal.
Wanderers are now 23rd in the table, eight points from safety, with relegation now likely.
Next up for Parkinson’s side are Millwall next Saturday at the University of Bolton Stadium.
