From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. When David Luiz scored against Colombia he did numerous things. He scored one of the goals of the tournament. He hit the decisive goal to send Brazil into the semi-finals. He also pulled perhaps the silliest face ever.

The Sideshow Bob look-a-like went absolutely wild after scoring Brazil's second goal against Colombia with a celebration that won't be forgotten in a hurry.

Mouth open and neck muscles strained he ripped his way to the corner of the pitch and jumped into the flag before being mobbed by his team-mates. Marco Tardelli who?

In the process Luiz pulled an absolutely brilliant expression. Yet the former Chelsea player isn't new to contorting his face in interesting ways. In fact when he's not playing football he spends a lot of time pulling faces and then posting them on social media websites.

We've collected together some of his best facial expressions.
