World Cup 2014 Video: England train in Sao Paulo ahead of Uruguay crunch match

The country will come to a standstill once more this evening as the England team seek to keep their World Cup hopes alive in their second match of the tournament against Uruguay.

While England will have plenty of support back home, the Arena Corinthians will be packed with Uruguay fans who will have travelled across the border into Brazil.

England will also have to combat the Premier League's top scorer last season, Luis Suarez, who is back in training after recovering from knee surgery. While he did not even come on as a substitute in Uruguay's 3-1 defeat against Costa Rica last Saturday, the danger man said he was ready to face the Three Lions.

England captain Steven Gerrard was asked how he would respond to seeing his team-mate Suarez before the game on Thursday evening. “If I walk past him I will say ‘hello’ and shake his hand but at that moment I am not really looking for friends or team-mates. He knows that once that whistle blows there is no friendship at all between me and Luis Suarez.”

While there were positives to take from England's loss to Italy last weekend, Roy Hodgson's men know that defensive errors could again prove costly, especially against Suarez.

Gerrard has warned England’s young players that there is “no hiding place” for a team that comes home early from the World Cup finals.
