Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The 2019 World Cup is now just around the corner and that of course means only one thing – plenty of new football kits to get excited over.
And this World Cup will see history being made. For the first time since Nike began working with the Women’s World Cup in 1995, each of the brand’s kits have been designed especially for the women’s teams rather than simply shared with the men.
That means that the England women’s national team has received two new unique kits for the tournament in France, with both strips a distinct improvement on the current men’s efforts.
France, Germany, Spain and Sweden have also been handed particularly eye-catching strips.
But – honestly – who the hell cares about our opinion? One person’s Denmark 1986 Hummel home shirt is another’s United States 1994 Adidas home, after all, so we want to hear what you think.
So, take a look at the pictures above and then vote in our poll to let us know the best kit at the 2019 World Cup.
And if you have even more you want to share, tweet us @IndyFootball.
