Fans and players were left stunned after a pine marten invaded the pitch during a match between FC Thun and Zurich.

The creature was seen darting across the field midway through the game while players stood and watched the spectacle.

Play was halted while several attempts were made to grab the animal before it was caught by Zurich defender Loris Benito, who ended up getting bitten on the finger.
