The 10 nominees for the Golden Ball award - the player of the tournament - are Italians Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Andrea Pirlo and Gianluca Zambrotta; French trio Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira; Germany's Michael Ballack and Miroslav Klose; and Portugal's Maniche.
