Brescia were awarded a 3-0 victory - the scoreline when Sunday's Serie A match at the Granillo stadium was abandoned in the 84th minute. The match was cut short after the home supporters threw flares and plastic seats on to the pitch during the match.
Uefa, the game's European governing body, yesterday declared the second-round second-leg Uefa Cup match between Red Star Belgrade and Spain's Celta Vigo a forfeit after the Yugoslavs fielded two suspended players.
Uefa awarded the Spanish team a 3-0 victory after Red Star played Nenad Lalatovic and Stevo Glogovac, even though both had received a one-match suspension after receiving three yellow cards in the competition. The move did not affect the outcome, however, with Celta Vigo having won the match 5-2 and qualified for the second round on aggregate.
