The footballing world remains in shock after Luis Suarez appeared to bite an opponent for the third time, after he allegedly sunk his teeth into Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy on Tuesday.

From every angle it looked like the Liverpool striker bit the Italian, and he now faces being thrown out of the 2014 World Cup, and given a lengthy world-wide ban after Fifa confirmed it was investigating the incident.

Suarez has until 9pm this evening (UK time) to respond to the charge.
