Roberto Mancini has called up Udinese striker Kevin Lasagna into the Italy squad after former West Ham striker Simone Zaza sustained a calf injury in training.

Italy face Ukraine in Genoa tomorrow and if the 26-year-old is to make an appearance, he will win his first cap for the national side.

Lasagna scored 12 goals in the Serie A last season but is yet to hit those heights this campaign have bagged just a single goal in eight games.

Udinese are struggling in 15th position in the Serie A having won just one from their last five matches.
