While Marco Reus received treatment on an injury that looks like it could keep him sidelined for a while, James Morrison appeared to challenge Christoph Kramer to a battle of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ – the exact reason why is unknown – before the match resumed.
The Germany midfielder – who famously suffered a nasty concussion during the World Cup final that meant he cannot remember large parts of that historic evening on 13 July – decided scissors would be his weapon of choice. Unfortunately for eagle-eyed viewers, Morrison’s hand was obscured by the German medical team, but the smile on Kramer’s face suggested it was another win for the world champions.
Morrison appeared to lay down the challenge as an aerial view showed the West Brom midfielder making the universal gesture for a game, which Kramer had no hesitancy in accepting.
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, who is on loan this season with Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach, was seen chuckling to himself after, and he wasn’t the only one as the video has quickly gone viral on social media.

With manager Gordon Strachen believing his side could go on and win the 2016 European qualifier, it wasn’t to be as Muller struck again just four minutes later to give Joachim Low’s side a winning start.
Scotland sit second bottom of Group D after the Republic of Ireland beat Georgia 2-1 in Tbilisi, while Poland sit top of the group following their 7-0 mauling of minnows Gibraltar.
