Italy have already proved their capacity to pull off the unexpected after a tactically astute performance against the Spanish helped the Azzurri overcome the former champions.
Despite their lack of stand-out players, Conte's Italy have played with a togetherness and passion which has seen them overcome teams which have seemed far stronger on paper.
As for the Germanys, they've impressed throughout the tournament and have yet to have conceded a goal at Euro 2016.
Conte will need to master a truly genius tactical plan if his side are to stand any chance of making it past the Germans.
Italy were among the first sides to qualify from the group stages this year, beating Belgium and Sweden to secure top spot before losing their final match to Ireland. They then beat defending champions Spain in the last sixteen last Monday.
Germany meanwhile began with victory over Ukraine before a draw with Poland and a one-sided win over Northern Ireland. Second round victory over Slovakia last Sunday made it four successive matches without conceding for the country.
