The Brazilian Capone won the game for them with a header in the 80th minute.

Another Brazilian Mario Jardel opened the scoring in the 16th minute from a pass by Hasan Unsal and 13 minutes later came Hagi's superb goal from outside the penalty area.
The French champions drew level in the second half with Shabani Nonda scoring in the 50th minute and Marco Simone in the 62nd minute from a penalty kick following a foul on Emre Belozoglu.
Monaco's come back heightened the tension, leading to the dismissal of Hagi in the 69th minute and Monaco's Ousmane Dabo two minutes later.
