Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

With Sven Goran Eriksson leaving Lazio in June to take over as England coach, there was speculation that the club's president, Sergio Cragnotti, would quickly move to replace him. But Eriksson's side have since won three games in a row.

Hernan Crespo and Marcelo Salas will start up front for Lazio, while Carlo Ancelotti, Juve's coach, welcomes back the midfielders Edgar Davids and Zinedine Zidane from suspension. Gianluca Zambrotta and Paolo Montero return from injury.
Milan are doing well in the Champions' League, but have won just one game in Serie A and badly need three points against Bari. Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati is fit again and will replace Dida. Milan face a tricky choice on the left flank where Francesco Coco has recovered from tonsillitis but may find it difficult to oust Serginho.
Marco Tardelli, Internazionale's coach, can call upon the services of Christian Vieri for the first time since May against Lecce. Vieri is likely to take the place of Ivan Zamorano, who is on international duty.
Tomorrow night the league leaders, Udinese, have six players missing for their trip to Parma, who have recovered from a shaky start with two straight wins. Midfielder Martin Jorgensen is set to play as an emergency striker in the absence of Roberto Muzzi and Vincenzo Iaquinta. With Parma strikers Marco Di Vaio and Marcio Amoroso injured, Savo Milosevic partners Patrick Mboma.
