Euro 2012 Diary: Hallelujah chorus for pop star Lukas Podolski

Lukas Podolski is playing in a semi-final tomorrow, but you might be forgiven for thinking he was in the process of preparing for Eurovision.

The Germany striker has released a cheesy pop song called "Hallelujah" – funnily, the word used by Arsenal fans when realising he is slightly better with a football than carrying a tune.

Brown gets confused over Pirlo's phobia

Phil Brown expressed his disappointment at Italy's Andrea Pirlo having never played for an English club by labelling him "homophobic".

Either the former Hull City manager is resulting to jealous childish insults or is in need of a dictionary. Probably the latter.

Russian revolution claims new victim

Russia, already without a coach after their elimination last week, now need to find a new head of their Football Union after Sergei Fursenko resigned.

Let's hope they found someone as in touch as Fursenko, who said as he left: "What a shame Russia were knocked out."
