From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The new England away shirt has seemingly been leaked online - and the kit is blue rather than the traditional red.

The shirt, made by American sportswear giant Nike, follows the same template as the 2015 Portugal away kit. It was revealed on the reliable FootyHeadlines website.

Rather than the traditional red, the kit is navy blue with light blue horizontal stripes - Nike's, who have a £25million-a-year deal with England, two previous efforts since taking over from Umbro in 2013 have both been red.

Umbro produced a kit with a similar colour scheme in 2010, but that was the first away shirt since the infamous Euro 96 grey shirt that wasn't red.

Before those two kits only three other kits had not been red - all light blue efforts from Umbro between 1987 and 1992.

England's next qualifier is away to San Marino on 5 September - it is so far unclear if the team will wear the shirt then, although a release is expected soon.
