Fulham’s scoring woes continued as their missed opportunities saw them held to a goalless Premier League draw with Everton at Craven Cottage.
After last week’s exit from both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, the west Londoners failed to bounce back with a win over an Everton side, who now sit in the bottom three following Luton’s 4-0 victory over Brighton.
Raul Jimenez, who scored four goals in December, could not replicate last month’s success before Rodrigo Muniz was largely anonymous when called upon in the second half.

Everton have a worry now with Branthwaite down. The young centre-back looks in some discomfort and the referee has allowed the medical team to enter the pitch and give him treatment. After a short delay, it looks as though he will be able to continue. Branthwaite returns to the action.

What a save! Willian creates space for himself on the right and floats a delivery towards the back post. Tosin rises above everyone inside the Everton penalty area and fires a header towards goal, but Pickford somehow gets his fingers to it and tips it over the bar! It's an unbelievable stop to keep the game at 0-0!

The Cottagers have another opportunity from a corner. De Cordova-Reid finds the overlapping run of Pereira and he fires towards goal, but it hits the side netting. The Fulham players appeal for a corner, and the referee agrees. Branthwaite made a superb stop to deny Silva's side.

Fulham drive forward with Robinson down the left-hand side. He jinks past Young and looks to take on Godfrey, and the Everton defender diverts the ball behind for a corner. Willian will take once again and it's whipped towards the front post, but Calvert-Lewin is there to meet it and he heads it away.

The Toffees now have a chance, but the assistant has his flag up once again. Everton look to counter-attack as Harrison tests the goalkeeper from just inside the penalty area, but it's palmed away by Leno before Tosin clears away from danger.

After a slow start to the second half, Fulham are starting to push for the opening goal. The Cottagers have managed 10 shots in the second half alone, with two on target. The Toffees need to tighten up if they are to hold on and keep a clean sheet today. Elsewhere, Luton are now 4-0 up at home to Brighton, meaning Everton remain in the relegation zone.

So close! Branthwaite commits to a tackle in the middle of the pitch and Muniz wins the ball off him. Pereira breaks and bursts into the Everton half, before returning the ball to Muniz. He looks to test Pickford from outside of the box, but it deflects off Mykolenko and out for a corner. From the resulting corner, Castagne powers a header towards goal, but it hits the bar with Pickford rooted to the spot! Almost the opener!

Fulham are starting to grow into the game now and have had three corners in quick succession, looking to fill the box at every opportunity and cause problems for Everton. The Toffees conceded twice from set-pieces against Luton at the weekend, so it's an area they are vulnerable at the moment.
