Danny Wilson has left his job as manager of Sheffield United despite the team's position in the play-off places with five games of the League One season remaining. It appears he was forced out.
United are fifth in the table and four points clear of Tranmere in seventh. But a run of just one win in six matches, culminating in a 2-0 home defeat by Crawley on Tuesday, has prompted a change. An early candidate to take over is former Blades manager Neil Warnock, who recently left Leeds.
