Your support makes all the difference.Alan Pardew's resignation as manager of Reading will become the subject of a Football League investigation if the club lodge an official complaint over his actions.
Pardew quit because Reading would not allow him to talk to West Ham about the vacant managerial job at Upton Park, but Royals chairman John Madejski has refused to accept his resignation.
Now the League Managers' Association have told Pardew they cannot support him if he terminated his contract unilaterally, and are calling for an inquiry.
A Football League spokesman said: "To date, The Football League have received no complaints from any of their member clubs regarding the Alan Pardew issue.
"Were we to receive a specific complaint from a member club, we would investigate the issues relating to that complaint to determine whether any formal charges were appropriate.
"Until such time as any complaint is made this remains a private matter between the clubs and individuals concerned."
