Your support makes all the difference.Reading confirmed their play-off berth with an entertaining 0-0 draw at Coventry City while Nottingham Forest edged closer to a top-six finish as Kris Boyd and Luke Chambers both scored two in a 5-1 defeat of Scunthorpe United, who are relegated.
Leeds United are the only side who can catch Forest after Ross McCormack's 33rd-minute strike at Elland Road saw them beat Burnley 1-0. Leeds must win at QPR next week and hope Forest lose heavily at Crystal Palace to recoup a worse goal difference.
Swansea City, assured of a play-off finish, will go into the extra games in good heart after Darren Pratley's long-range shot and Stephen Dobbie's goal eased them to a 2-0 win at Millwall. "We were superb and we are full of confidence at the moment," the Swans manager, Brendan Rodgers, said. "We'll not change our gameplans for the play-offs."
Crystal Palace ensured another season in the Championship after substitute Ibra Sekajja's late goal saw them draw 1-1 at Hull City, and Doncaster Rovers also saved themselves from the drop with a 1-1 draw against Leicester City.
Elsewhere, Ipswich Town beat relegated Preston North End 2-1 at Portman Road, and Bristol City won 2-0 at Derby County, somewhat spoiling Robbie Savage's final home appearance.
League One
Southampton edged closer to promotion with a 3-0 win at Brentford but third-placed Huddersfield also won, 3-2, in champions Brighton's final match at the Withdean Stadium. Milton Keynes Dons and Bournemouth confirmed their play-off places with a 2-1 win over Notts County and 2-2 draw at Hartlepool United respectively. Pool's equaliser was scored by their goalkeeper Scott Flinders, four minutes into injury time.
League Two
With Chesterfield and Bury already promoted, Wycombe are best placed to join them after Ben Strevens scored two in a 3-1 win at the Shakers. Shrewsbury Town, who could catch them, won 1-0 at Cheltenham Town. Stockport County's 2-0 defeat at Crewe confirmed their drop.
Europe
Real Zaragoza's Angel Lafita scored twice as Real Madrid lost 3-2 at home ahead of their Champions' League semi-final second leg with Barcelona. Borussia Dortmund's 2-0 defeat of Nuremberg won the Bundesliga title; Dunfermline's 2-0 win at Morton took them back to the Scottish Premier after four seasons.
