What was the turning point? The turning point of the whole season was Barnsley being practically safe in mid-March. It has meant the players haven't turned up mentally and barely physically for the past nine matches. Iain Hume was the only one who looked like he wanted to be out there. Nathan Doyle couldn't pass water.

What next for the Tykes? Just get to the end of the season and then start rebuilding. Manager Mark Robins has already hinted there are going to be some major changes this summer. The end-of-season slump means they cannot come quickly enough. (Rob Miles, barnsley-mad.co.uk).

Bristol City 2 Derby County 1

Happy with your new manager? Steve Coppell is a great appointment and the squad he's inheriting isn't too shabby either. With Nicky Maynard up front banging in the goals we could do a Reading and take the division by storm next season. (He-Man, Bristol City fan)

What next for Derby? Our manager Nigel Clough says we are improving week by week but all I see is us going backwards. It might not be the popular thing to say but he will never take us higher than we are right now. The board needs to show some bravery in the summer. (Kid_Ram, Derby fan)

Cardiff City 3 Sheffield Wednesday 2

Who was the villain? Alan Irvine's arrival at Hillsborough looked like starting a resurgence, but things have begun to go wrong in the last couple of months. If we don't escape on the final day then he needs funds to rebuild next season and get us back up. (Irate Owl, Sheffield Wednesday fan)

Would the Owls deserve to go down? It's out of our hands now. Maybe we deserve to stay up with the football we have played this season, but the league won't show that if we do. Doncaster Rovers 4 Scunthorpe United 3

How good was the game? It was a cracking game only spoiled by a referee who failed to spot two of the clearest penalties I've seen in watching over 30 years of football. (Ladette, Doncaster fan)

Did the iron deserve to lose? To concede in the final minute is bad enough but to do so after fighting back so bravely was a real kick in the teeth. It was a quality game and we definitely deserved a draw at least against a very average Doncaster outfit. At least the Sheffield Wednesday result went our way, meaning we're safe now. Middlesbrough 1 Coventry City 1

Are you behind the manager? I'm going to go against the grain and say lay off from criticising Gordon Strachan. Some of the signings he has made have shown real promise and it will be players like Scott McDonald who will fire us back to the Premier League next season. (Singer78, Middlesbrough fan)

Was a point apiece deserved? Boro had more attempts at goal than we did but they are a long way from being a Premier League club. We had a go as we've done all season and probably just about deserved a share of the spoils. (CovKeith, Coventry fan)

How good was the St James' atmosphere? Not even their equaliser with the last kick of the game could spoil the party. St James' was rocking and I can't remember an atmosphere quite like it. What now for Ipswich? We must pull out all the stops to keep hold of Connor Wickham this summer as he is a genuine star in the making. If we can we must be in with a shout for promotion next year. (Lefty, Ipswich fan)

Nottingham Forest 3 Plymouth Argyle 0

Who do you want in the play-offs? To be honest I don't care as nobody in this division can live with us when we play as well as this. We look threatening all over the pitch and the commitment and desire is first-class. Nobody is bigger than the team and Billy Davies is a managerial genius. (GiantRedwood, Nottm Forest fan)

Will Plymouth come straight back up? It's hard to say as we need to wipe the slate clean in the summer and get rid of some of the poor Paul Sturrock signings who have dragged us down. If we can do that then I don't see why not. (GreenUn, Plymouth fan)

Peterborough United 0 Blackpool 1

Can the summer come soon enough? The end of the season can't come soon enough for Posh fans. We have lurched from one disaster to the next and, despite the fact that we are playing in the Championship, this has probably been the worst campaign in living memory. (Wilko, Peterborough fan)

Who was the Blackpool star? DJ Campbell must have a great deal of mental strength to put his off-pitch worries to one side and score a vital goal. He has been the scourge of Posh this season. (CaptainJack, Blackpool fan)

Preston North End 0 Leicester City 1

How was the lap of honour greeted? I hope they are thoroughly ashamed of parading in front of an empty stadium. It has been a dismal season after some early promise. Darren Ferguson has a huge task on his hands in the summer and I'm hoping he is the real deal. (PNECrazy, Preston fan)

How will Leicester fare in the play-offs? Obviously if you're in it you want to win it and anything other than promotion would be a let down. However, at the start of the season we were more concerned with relegation than thinking about a return to the Premier League. (FosseFossil, Leicester fan)

Sheffield United 2 Swansea City 0

Who was the hero? It has to be Blades keeper Paddy Kenny, who excelled after his long and unfortunate absence due to a drugs ban. He's clearly kept himself fit and a couple of saves from Federico Bessone showed that there is plenty of life left in the old dog yet.

Have the Swans blown it? City have looked certainties to finish in a play-off spot for some time, but now they could miss out. A lack of goalscorers proved costly at Bramall Lane and could be fatal to their top-six hopes, a shame as they knock the ball around as well as anyone in the division. Watford 3 Reading 0

How relieved are Watford fans? I'm amazed we've stayed up this season as it's been a long, hard struggle and at times it has been like men against boys. Credit must go to Malky Mackay though, as he's done it on half a shoestring and he needs to be given some backing in the summer to strengthen the squad for next season. (Golden_Warrior, Watford fan)
