What was the highlight? Hameur Bouazza's goal was worth paying to see. He nut-megged his man and then let fly with an unstoppable shot from the tightest of angles. We've started the season way above expectations. (Seaside_Donkey, Blackpool fan)

Was it a fair result? We created more chances than the home side but we just couldn't finish any of them off. Not that long ago Aaron McLean thought he was a Premier League striker. He's not even good enough for the Championship! (Poshlad, Peterborough fan)

Coventry City 2 Middlesbrough 2

Pleased with the point? Credit to the lads for going right to the final whistle. We probably would have lost this game last season but look a lot sharper and more up for the fight this year. If only we could stop conceding needless goals we'd be further up the table. (Highfield, Coventry fan)

Was the result hard to take? It's hard to take after being 2-0 up with 10 minutes to play but it's a step back in the right direction after last weekend's 5-0 thrashing. We're still going back to the Premier League though. (AppleJack, Middlesbrough fan)

Derby County 1 Bristol City 0

What was the turning point? It had to be the sending-off of Bristol City's Jamie McCombe. His persistent fouls rightly deserved two yellow cards. Derby however didn't capitalise fully on the extra player but bombarded the City goal with crosses and chances to score.

Who was the star man? Lee Croft for his determined running and crosses from the right wing. He was a persistent thorn in the side of the City defence. The addition of Dean Leacock in defence also helped us to look a lot more solid under pressure. (Ian Hayes, derbycounty-mad.co.uk)

Ipswich Town 0 Newcastle United 4

How was the day? The club organised a fitting tribute to Sir Bobby and the naming ceremony of the new stand brought a lump to my throat. It's just a shame that once again the players let us down. I can't understand how a Roy Keane team plays with such little passion. (Walker65, Ipswich fan)

Who shone for the Magpies? That's the best I've seen Kevin Nolan play. He scored three goals from midfield and put a shift in without the ball. However, it's a little annoying that a potential England player couldn't produce the goods when it mattered last season. (KingKev, Newcastle fan)

Leicester City 1 Preston North End 2

Did City deserve to lose their record? We were unbeaten at the Walkers Stadium for 12 months but can have no complaints. Preston were first to every loose ball, more dangerous in attack and clearly more potent in front of goal. Their goalkeeper won't have had an easier afternoon. (Heskey, Leicester fan)

Is this finally Preston's year? I've got a funny feeling we'll finally make it to the Premier League this time. We won't even need to go through the play-offs, which is where we usually come unstuck. Alan Irvine has done a brilliant job. (homeoffootball, Preston fan)

Plymouth Argyle 0 Nottingham Forest 1

Who was Forest's man of the match? Difficult to choose in an exciting Forest performance. I'm going for Chris Gunter though, with Wes Morgan and Radoslaw Majewski not far behind. We were totally dominant over a very poor Plymouth team. (CactustheRed, Nottingham Forest fan)

How much longer can Paul Sturrock last? No wins in nine league games have put his job on the line and another defeat at Peterborough United on Tuesday night could mean curtains. The team just isn't gelling and it must be time for a change. (Home Park Harry, Plymouth fan)

Happy with Rangers' win?

Five goals in one game is unbelievable considering the way we've been in front of goal. I just hope we haven't scored three games worth of goals in one 90 minutes! (rangerpete, QPR fan)

What went wrong?

Mark Robins shouldn't have made so many changes to a side that won against a Premier League Burnley in the Carling Cup in midweek. This was probably his first mistake since taking over. But we were used to plenty of them under Simon Davey! (Left-back, Barnsley fan)

Reading 1 Watford 1

How were the away fans? They brought about 3,000 so credit to them but they seemed more interested in having a go at former manager Brendan Rodgers than cheering on their own side. Even he looked baffled at the amount of negativity. (Berkshire_Blue, Reading fan)

Who was the villain? Brendan Rodgers was given a hard time and rightly so for the way he walked out on us. However, Nathan Ellington's red card was needless and his stupidity will cost him a suspension we can ill-afford at this moment in time. (HoJo78, Watford fan)

Scunthorpe United 2 Doncaster Rovers 2

Was the draw deserved? In terms of chances created we deserved something, but you've got to feel a bit for Donny as they were 2-0 up and coasting until players started losing their heads. Credit to Grant McCann who kept his nerve to score from the spot. (BillyGene, Scunthorpe fan)

What annoyed Doncaster fans? John Oster's needless sending-off cost us a win. He didn't need to get involved with McCann and after raising his arm left the referee with no option. Quinton Fortune's late red card was just plain annoying. (BelleView, Doncaster fan)

Sheffield Wednesday 3 Cardiff City 1

What was the turning point? Half-time. Wednesday were the better side in the first 10 minutes but Cardiff grew in confidence as the half went on. After the break, however, Wednesday took over again and the visitors didn't have a response.

Who was the star man? Etienne Esajas was clearly the best player on the pitch and influenced the result greatly by scoring one and setting up the other two Owls goals. His delivery and technique were a class apart on the day. (Chris Morris, owls-mad.co.uk)

Swansea 2 Sheffield United 1

Was it a deserved three points? If Sheffield United are genuine promotion contenders they certainly didn't show it on the day. We were well worth our two goals and the Blades didn't even go for broke when we were reduced to nine men. (WhiteArmy, Swansea fan)

How did the Blades play? There's nothing more frustrating than making a long journey and seeing your team not turn up. Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office rather than a sign of things to come. I'm still hopeful of promotion though. (Sharpy, Sheffield United fan)

West Bromwich 0 Crystal Palace 1

Why did the Baggies lose? Albion had little answer on how to break down the wall of Palace players in front of them and it was no surprise when they scored in the second half. We had opportunities of our own but neither Luke Moore nor Reuben Reid could find the back of the net.

What next for Albion? Roberto Di Matteo will want to bounce back as soon as possible after two defeats against Arsenal and Palace. First and foremost he'll need to get the team selection right as Zuiverloon and Jara down the right didn't work at all. (Iain Bate, wba-mad.co.uk)
