Vydra stole the points 10 minutes from time after a quick break. Jokanovic said: “We made some mistakes, gave them many presents and started the second half similarly and we have to control the situation a little bit better.”
Wednesday dent Boro’s promotion push
Atdhe Nuhiu bagged his fourth goal as Sheffield Wednesday interrupted second-placed Middlebrough’s promotion chase with a 2-0 victory, their first in the Championship since Boxing Day.
The Austrian striker, who scored twice at the Riverside earlier in the season, converted a 52nd-minute penalty to open the scoring after Ken Omeruo handled. Will Keane, on-loan from Manchester United, headed in the second three minutes later from Lewis McGugan’s free-kick.
Arnason’s late strike edges Rotherham clear
Rotherham United and Wigan Athletic were the big winners on a day of relegation dogfights. Kari Arnason headed home in the 85th minute to give Rotherham a 2-1 home win over Millwall, who are six points adrift of them in the bottom three.
Blackpool are six points adrift at the bottom after visitors Wigan beat them 3-1 to boost their survival chances.
Bird sinks Wimbledon in marathon match
It’s tough being a Hartlepool fan, even more so as the League’s bottom club survived 14 minutes of added time to claim a 1‑0 victory over Wimbledon thanks to Ryan Bird’s close range strike.
