From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Harry Redknapp chose to keep on-loan West Ham star Ravel Morrison on the bench for Queens Park Rangers’ season-defining Championship play-off final clash against Derby at Wembley, with Joey Barton and Nico Kranjcar preferred in midfield.

Both Charlie Austin and Kevin Doyle start in attack with Gary O’Neill and Junior Hoilett on the flanks, while their back-four of Danny Simpson, Richard Dunne, Nedum Onuoha and Clint Hill remain intact from the semi-final victory over Wigan.

Derby will start their challenge to return to the top flight with Chris Martin leading the line in front of a midfield trio of Will Hughes, Jamie Ward and Johnny Russell.

Liverpool right-back Andre Wisdom, who is on a season-long loan, starts alongside Jake Buxton, Richard Keogh and Craig Forsyth in defence, while Jeff Hendrick and George Thorne will sit in front of them in the centre of midfield.

Line-ups:

Derby: Grant; Wisdom, Buxton, Keogh, Forsyth; Thorne, Hendrick; Ward, Hughes, Russell; Martin.

Subs: Bryson, Eustace, Sammon, Legzdins, Whitbread, Dawkins, Bamford.

QPR: Green; Simpson, Dunne, Onuoha, Hill; O'Neill, Barton, Kranjcar; Hoilett, Doyle Austin
