Your support makes all the difference.A late Aaron Brown goal enabled Bristol City to register a 10th successive win and move to the top of Nationwide Second Division last night, as the leaders, Plymouth Argyle, slipped to a 3-0 defeat at revitalised Tranmere Rovers.
Bristol City led through Lee Miller's 10th-minute goal at Grimsby, but were pegged back by Iain Anderson's 31st-minute penalty. But Brown struck in the 88th-minute to seal a 2-1 success and move Danny Wilson's in-form side to the top of the table.
The Robins are now a point clear of Plymouth, who found the FA Cup quarter-finalists in fine form. Tranmere took the lead in the 18th minute through Eugene Dadi's header, and Iain Hume doubled their advantage four minutes later. Dadi scored his second of the night seven minutes into the second half to end the Devon club's hopes of a comeback and seal a 3-0 win.
Lincoln City boosted their hopes of reaching the Third Division promotion play-offs with a crushing 4-1 win at York City.
Paul Mayo opened the scoring from the penalty spot a minute before the break after Marcus Richardson had been fouled by the home goalkeeper, Darren Edmondson.
Francis Green made it 2-0 in the 58th minute and Peter Gain increased the lead three minutes later, before Simon Yeo wrapped things up 14 minutes from time from close range. Lee Bullock scored a consolation goal seven minutes from time, but the Minstermen have not won for six matches.
Huddersfield had Pawel Abbott's 86th-minute volley to thank for a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers, who led through Graham Hyde's 69th-minute goal.
