Blackpool striker Stephen Dobbie aiming for new Championship play-off record

Stephen Dobbie will go to Wembley a week tomorrow looking to become the first man to earn three consecutive promotions via the play-offs.

The frontman, who scored for Blackpool in their 2-2 draw with Birmingham on Wednesday which secured a 3-2 aggregate win and earned the Seasiders a crack at West Ham on 19 May, won Championship play-offs with Blackpool in 2010 and Swansea last season, when he scored against Reading.

Dobbie opened the scoring at St Andrew's on Wednesday with his sixth goal in seven starts since joining Blackpool on loan from Swansea in March. He has a year left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium but Blackpool hope to sign him permanently for £500,000 in the summer.
