The Blues beat promotion-chasing Fulham, who would have only needed to win themselves to be promoted to the Premier League, 3-1 at St Andrew’s to confirm their Championship status for another season.
Kevin Tomlinson, a big Birmingham City fan, vowed to get the tattoo if the Blues beat the odds and won against Fulham, and set up a gofundme page as a result.
“I promised if Birmingham City beat Fulham I would get Gary Monk's face tattooed on my bum and hey ho. Guess what happened,” he wrote on his gofundme page.
“If I can raise enough for the small tattoo, remaining money will go to the justice for the 21 campaign.”
Monk responded to the tweet with two screenshots of his donation of £80 for the tattoo, with the message: “Just paid for it, pal! But one condition: all bluenoses want to see the proof!!!”
