A goalless draw at home to Tottenham and a shock 1-0 win at west London rivals Chelsea has given Rangers fresh hope that they can secure top-flight status under Harry Redknapp.
A 1-1 draw with the Baggies in between their two massive Barclays Premier League fixtures means Redknapp's side now face a replay at The Hawthorns.
Despite still facing an uphill challenge to remain in the Premier League, Scotland international Mackie is hopeful of progression into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
"You want to win any game, on a personal note you go out there to win football matches," he said.
"It can only be a good thing for the club if we win football matches, whatever they are and whoever plays.
"We have a big squad and people are eager to play now we are getting results, it freshens things up so it could be a chance for other people or a chance for us to keep the momentum going."
If Rangers are successful in reaching the fourth round they will face a home tie against either MK Dons or Sheffield Wednesday and QPR coach Joe Jordan is keen for a cup run.
"I'm old-school," he said.
"I've been brought up with it and I would love to see us have a run in the FA Cup. But not to the detriment of any other part of our season because we know what our priority is."
Jordan moved to Loftus Road alongside Redknapp in November but tonight's meeting with West Brom will be the third clash against Steve Clarke's men.
West Brom lost at strugglers Reading on Saturday, despite leading 2-0 with eight minutes remaining and Jordan wants QPR to take advantage of any hangover.
He said: "They'll be shell-shocked by that. I watched the game and they had it completely under control.
"(Romelu) Lukaku could have had a couple more goals and you could see in his face his frustration.
"This is an opportunity for us to play against a team that, really, we haven't had much luck against.
"We were a little but unfortunate in our league encounter, we certainly should have got a draw. In the cup game they hit us near the end but we showed a bit of character and came back. Hopefully in this replay we can get the result."
