Michy Batshuayi celebrated his maiden Chelsea hat-trick by calling on EA Sports to improve his Fifa 18 rating.

The Belgian scored three times in the 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night to send the Blues into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Batshuayi was one of a number of professional footballers upset with their ratings given by the video game company ahead of the release this month and prior to the game posted a video of himself looking unimpressed accompanied by the message: “PLEASE EXPLAIN @EASPORTSFIFA”.

EA replied: “Keep scoring goals and we’ll talk…” to which Batshuayi said, “Hahaha fair point but I’ve been doing this for a quite a long time now… even longer than the last time your servers were OK.”

However, after three goals against Forest, and Chelsea drawing Everton in the fourth round as a result, Batshuayi jumped back on social media to ask for an update from EA.

He wrote: “Can we talk now fam…??”

EA responded with an updated player card of Batshuayi where they increased his rating from 80/100 to 99/100, making him the best player on the game.

Although even the Chelsea striker believed it was too much, saying: “Ahahah it’s too much now save it for later”.

Fifa 18 will be released in the UK on 29 September.
