Liverpool and Shrewsbury Town meet in their FA Cup fourth-round replay at Anfield tonight to decide who will play Chelsea in the next round.

Liverpool had led 2-0 in the first game with a goal from Curtis Jones and a Donald Love own-goal, but two goals from substitute Jason Cummings forced the Reds into a replay.

The match tonight is one of six FA Cup replays taking place midweek, with Premier League sides Tottenham and Southampton meeting tomorrow.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed he would not lead the side out for this replay, with under 23’s Coach Neil Critchley taking charge.

Shrewsbury are looking to reach the fifth round for the first time since the 2015/2016 season, when they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Prediction

An unpredictable game to say the least, Liverpool’s youngsters came out on top against rivals Everton in the previous round which bodes well. However, Shrewsbury will fancy their chances against what will be Liverpool’s academy, but Critchley’s side have shown before they are capable of rising to the challenge.

Liverpool 2-1 Shrewsbury Town
