Your support makes all the difference.Championship bottom-half team Sheffield Wednesday will host fellow league strugglers Charlton Athletic on Monday evening at the Hillsborough Stadium. The tie was initially scheduled to be played on February 15th, but was called off as adverse weather conditions affected the Hillsborough pitch.
The match had to be rescheduled on a Monday evening as per the UEFA directive, which does not allow FA Cup games to be played on the same night as Champions League ties.
Currently placed 15th in the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday sit on 36 points with Birmingham and Bournemouth, two teams placed below them in the table. Since New Year, Wednesday have won six out of eight home games, their two defeats coming back-to-back against Championship opponents Wigan Athletic and Derby County.
Wednesday defeated Macclesfield in a third round replay and went on to defeat Rochdale in the fourth round of the tournament. Meanwhile, Charlton have lost three out of their last four games leading up to this tie.
The Addicks defeated Oxford in a third round replay and won away at Huddersfield in the fourth round in January. The side is currently in the relegation zone and has scored only 24 goals in the league this season, the least number of goals in the Championship.
Charlton last reached the final eight of the FA Cup in the 2005/06 campaign, eventually losing 4-2 against Middlesborough. Both clubs have been underwhelming in the Championship this year and the winner will face Sheffield United in the sixth round cup tie scheduled across the weekend of 8/9 March.

A win for Sheffield Wednesday could set up a Steel City derby in the sixth round of the FA Cup. The last time the two teams met was in February 2012 during an English League One tie.
