Their 1-0 defeat to Wigan in last years FA cup final will not have been forgotten, with Manchester City players and fans hoping to erase those memories when the two sides meet this weekend.
City will enter the clash in buoyant mood after beating Sunderland 3-1 in last weekends Capital One Cup final, claiming their first of a possible four trophies this season.
A victory against Wigan will result in City heading back down the motorway to make a seventh Wembley appearance in just three years.
Although Wigan may not have won a trophy in the past week, they themselves head into Sundays cup-tie in high spirits. Four consecutive league wins – including a 4-1 win at promotion rivals Nottingham Forrest - has seen the Latics move into the final play-off position, with manager Uwe Rosler hoping his side can continue their terrific run of form and inflict another cup upset on the blue half of Manchester.
