From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Football Association have announced key information for next month’s FA Cup final, with Arsenal and Chelsea both allocated 28,000 tickets for the match at Wembley Stadium.
Arsenal supporters have been allocated the east side of the ground while Chelsea’s supporters will sit in the west end.
The remaining 14,000 tickets not handed to either club will be given to members of the FA’s “football family” – which includes volunteers representing counties, leagues, local clubs and charities.
The FA also announced that tickets will be slightly cheaper than in 2016, with a £5 reduction across all price points. That means adult tickets are priced at £45, £65, £85 and £115.
The match will kick-off at 5.30pm on May 27, with live coverage of the game on BBC One as well as BT Sport 2.
Arsenal will be attempting to win the competition for the third time in just four seasons, following their wins over Hull City and Aston Villa in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Arsene Wenger’s side defeated Manchester City to reach the final, with Alexis Sanchez scoring in the first-half of extra-time to ensure that Pep Guardiola would end the league season without a trophy for the first-time in his storied career.
Chelsea meanwhile defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in the other semi-final.
The London club will likely be aiming to complete the double for only the second time in their history when they line-up against Arsenal next month.
