Chelsea go into Wednesday's second leg on the back of an embarrassing 4-2 defeat to League One Bradford at the weekend, whilst Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at home to Bolton will do little to ease the nerves within Brendan Rogers' squad.

Unsurprisingly, both managers are expected to field strong line-ups. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is likely to return to the squad after being rested on Saturday and Daniel Sturridge could return to the bench after being out since August with injury.

As for Chelsea, Eden Hazard should regain his place in the starting eleven after only being used a as a sub against Bradford, with leading goal scorer Diego Costa likely to spearhead the attack.

With last week’s first leg ending 1-1 the ties is finely poised.
