From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. AFC Wimbledon take on Liverpool tonight in a game billed as Jack vs the Giant.

However, it is the League Two side that can boast a giant amongst their ranks in the shape of Adebayo Akinfenwa, a player recognised as the 'strongest footballer in the world'.

The 16-stone striker was given the title of the strongest by EA, whose FIFA 15 game based on real world statistics ranks him as the toughest player there is.

Ina show of that strength Akinfenwa has even boasted in the past that he can bench-press 180kg - a weight equivalent to almost three Raheem Sterlings.

So ahead of tonight's FA Cup third round tie, we match up the two sides' strikers...

Speaking ahead of the match, Akinfenwa revealed how excited he was about tonight's match.

"It's the biggest game, there is no bigger," the 32-year-old told the BBC.

"I am a Liverpool supporter so even if I played in the Champions League final, this would be the biggest game."
