Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City travel to Turin for tonight’s Champions League clash with Group D rivals Juventus.
Victory for the Sky Blues would put them out of the Bianconeri’s reach and confirm them as group winners.
The only possibility of European elimination is the unlikely combination of two City losses, and two goal-heavy Sevilla wins, which seems a little far-fetched.
Manuel Pellegrini has been forced to name three City youth players on the bench for the clash with Juve, with a number of injuries impacting his squad.
Tosin Adarabioyo
Nigerian-born, Adarabioyo recently represented England in their victorious 5-1 drubbing of Japan in an under-19s friendly match at City’s Academy stadium. He plays his trade at the back, holding steady as a centre back.
Pablo Maffeo
This Spanish 18-year-old is yet to play in an official league, cup or European match, but got a taste of first team experience back in May when he was part of the side that saw off Toronto FC during City’s post-season tour of North America. Prefers to play right-back, but has deputised as a centre-back before.
Bersant Celina
Hailing from Kosovo, Celina is a key figure of City’s Elite Development Squad (EDS) in the Under-21 league. The midfielder has been in stunning form recently, scoring a goal in each of City U21’s last three games, helping them to victories over Norwich and Chelsea.
