Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder has dismissed talk of a possible return to Real Madrid.
The Inter Milan midfielder's agent had said earlier in the week that his client's contract renewal talks had broken down and hinted that Real Madrid were interested in snapping him up.
However, the 26-year-old has dismissed the possibility of a reunion with current Real boss Jose Mourinho, claiming on Twitter: "We're talking about a contract extension with Inter because I want to stay here in Milan.
"I hope that these negotiations will be concluded as soon as possible.
"I rule out a return to Real Madrid because I haven't forgotten the events of long ago. Real Madrid are a very strong team coached by a person who allowed me to win lots of trophies with my current team.
"I repeat for the umpteenth time that I'll be at Inter this season and, if I renewed my contract, I'll be with Inter until the end of that."
