Your support makes all the difference.Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has vowed to give 100 per cent for the club despite his contract entering its final year which will see the striker leave at the end of the season for nothing.
Lewandowski made it clear he wanted to move to Champions League winners Bayern Munich, but despite agreeing personal terms, Dortmund refused to accept their offer and will they will not sell him this season.
They do it with the knowledge that the Polish international will join the Bavarians on a free transfer next season, but having already lost Mario Gotze to Pep Guardiola’s side, they remained stubborn in holding onto their leading forward.
The Westphalians have received better bids from other clubs around Europe, but Lewandowski is holding out for a move to Munich. But he has confirmed that he will give everything he has for his current club, despite his move being blocked this summer,
"No matter what has happened, that doesn't interest me when I take to the field," he told German newspaper Bild.
"As soon as I stand on the grass and play, then all I think about is Borussia Dortmund.
"I want to give my best and be successful. I will give everything for Dortmund."
Lewandowski featured in last weekend’s German Super Cup, in which Dortmund emerged 4-2 winners over Munich, though the Pole did not get on the scoresheet as two goals from midfielder Marco Reus and one from Ilkay Gundogan along with a Daniel van Buyten own-goal gave the Bundesliga runners-up an early victory over their rivals.
