The Scottish outfit are top of Group D with eight points – the same number as Benfica but with a superior goal difference – and a victory here would guarantee their place in the last 32.
Meanwhile, Liege are bottom of the group – level on three points with Lech Poznan but with an inferior goal difference. Anything other than a win at Ibrox will see the Belgian side tumble out of the tournament, but – given their 2-0 home defeat by Rangers in their competition opener – they seem to be facing a tough task.
