From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the Manchester United job on an interim basis just before Christmas, the Red Devils have lost just one out of 16 games in all competitions.

That loss came against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the round of 16 courtesy of goals from French internationals Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe.

Facing an uphill struggle to qualify in Paris, United must score three times and win by at least two clear goals to progress to the quarter-finals without the suspended Paul Pogba.

They face a team in white hot form, PSG have won their last eight games in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and conceding just two.

Domestic success has been a given for PSG over the past few years, but what the club really want is Champions League glory and many feel that this is the year that the Parisians will mount a serious challenge to win the prestigious trophy for the first time in their history.
