The on-loan Manchester United winger became much maligned at Old Trafford but has found a new lease of life since returning to his former club.
Despite Louis van Gaal being unable to find a place for him in his faltering squad, Nani has been showing why Manchester United once paid over £20m for him. Eight goals this term including three in the Champions League have shown the 28-year-old has much to offer, and his wonder goal last night proved he's capable of moments of the highest class.
In the 68th minute of the Portuguese Liga game with Gil Vicente, Nani controlled the ball with his head before unleashing a long distance half-volley into the top corner of the net.
So good was the goal, Nani appeared to struggle to deal with his emotions. Before falling to his knees in celebration his bottom lip began to tremble and his eyes filled up with tears as his grinning team-mates gathered round to congratulate him.

Nani's emotional celebration even made the front page of today's Portuguese paper O Jojo.
Nani's loan expires at the end of the season at which point he will return to Manchester United, but it remains unclear if he has a future at Old Trafford.
