At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Internazionale coach Jose Mourinho was not too downhearted by his side's goalless draw at Fiorentina, even though the result dropped the Nerazzuri two points off the pace at the top of the table.

Mourinho's side were also held to a goalless draw on their last Serie A outing, failing to find the net at to Genoa last weekend.

The Portuguese said: "If there is a trophy for the autumn then we have lost it, but we've still got a great chance for the one in May.

"I am not a magician, but I have faith in my squad and our work.

"My players did not put in a great performance, but they fought hard and gave their all."

Meanwhile, Udinese coach Pasquale Marino refused to get too carried away after seeing his side remain top of Serie A with a fine 2-0 victory at Catania.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Fabio Quagliarella gave Udine the three points in Sicily, with Marino enjoying a successful return to one of his former clubs.

Marino said after the victory: "It is pleasing to be on top, but we have to be realistic here. There are great sides behind us.

"We performed an extraordinary feat tonight. To win in a stadium where until now nobody had even managed to score is not to be sniffed at.

"Catania had a strong approach to the game and throughout there were points where we undoubtedly came under pressure."

Udine are joined at the summit by Napoli, who were 3-0 winners at home to Reggina.

After German Denis’ superb hat-trick had secured a superb victory, coach Edy Reja commented: "Everyone ought to fear us.

"I asked my lads to put their foot on the accelerator right away. They did it brilliantly, as always, and we played the best half-hour of our season so far.

"Everyone should be afraid of Napoli, because we are in great shape."
