Real were surprisingly quiet in the summer transfer window when just four players - Ricardo Carvalho, Angel di Maria, Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil - arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu following Mourinho's appointment as coach.
But despite being linked with a host of star names, Mourinho doesn't expect the club to complete any January transfer business.
Twelve months before his arrival, Real spent over £150millon during a record-breaking summer transfer spree which brought the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka to Madrid.
"It's normal there's talk of players. Madrid is Madrid and there's always talk of players," Mourinho told the club's official website.
"Mainly it's great players because if you talk of mediocre players people won't believe it.
"It seems normal to me, but as coach I have to say not only what I think but what the club thinks and that is that this is the squad until the end of the season. These are the players which we have faith in.
"We don't have the perfect squad, because the perfect squad doesn't exist. We have an excellent squad with players who give me a lot of confidence and I don't want any players in the winter market."
Meanwhile, Malaga coach Jesualdo Ferreira wants his team to defeat Real at the weekend and he believes his fired-up players can do just that.
With the La Liga minnows hosting their illustrious opponents at La Rosaleda, the former Porto manager has admitted with Jose Mourinho's men in town, they have an outside chance of causing an upset.
"I always want to win. If we were to draw or lose to Real Madrid, I would be just as disappointed if I lost to a less powerful team. Losing is one thing I hate," he said.
"These are the easiest games to prepare for as a coach. They all want to play, and I do not need to motivate the players.
"Mourinho will find it more difficult to have his players playing at 100 per cent."
