Barcelona may be denied the opportunity to show off their club-record signing Luis Suarez due to his ban for biting.

The Spanish giants have agreed a club-record £75m deal for the Uruguay international and the transfer is expected to go through next week after Suarez undergoes a medical.

However it seems unlikely that they will be able to parade the 27-year-old in front of their own fans.

Suarez is currently serving a four month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini that covers "all football activities". An exception was made for undergoing a medical however it is thought that holding a press conference and being paraded at the Nou Camp would contravene the suspension.

Barcelona have a tradition of showing off their new signings inside their 98,700 capacity Nou Camp stadium, with previous record signing Neymar receiving the treatment and Cesc Fabregas, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Villa also being introduced to the Catalan fans in a similar fashion.

Suarez, who scored 82 goals in 133 appearances whilst at Liverpool and won the golden boot last season with 31 goals in 33 league matches, saw his appeal rejected on Thursday.
