Rangers' Champions League hopes were left hanging in the balance last night after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Malmo at Ibrox.
Daniel Larsson grabbed the only goal of the first leg of the third-qualifying round tie with a fierce drive in the 18th minute, leaving the Scottish champions with a major hurdle to overcome in next week's away leg in Sweden.
It was another disappointing game for new manager Ally McCoist, with Rangers fortunate to escape with just a one-goal defeat.
