Ajax stunned Juventus 2-1 in Turin to continue their fairy tale Champions League campaign with a 3-2 aggregate win.

The Dutch champions had already outclassed Real Madrid in the round-of-16, but recreated that performance in full might to come from behind after Cristiano Ronaldo gave Max Allegri’s side the lead.

It took just six minutes for Ajax to respond with Donny Van de Beek diverting Hakim Ziyech’s long-range shot into the far corner.

And then in a one-sided second-half, Ajax’s 19-year-old captain Matthijs de Ligt compounded their pressure with a fantastic header.

From that point onwards, Juventus needed two goals to overcome the away goals deficit, but they could rarely come close as this iconic young Dutch side added another chapter to their flourishing legacy.
