Inter are aiming to win the Serie A title for a fourth consecutive season and currently hold an eight-point lead over city rivals AC Milan at the top of the table.
But despite being firm favourites to clinch another title, Mourinho is refusing to write off the opposition just yet.
"There is still a long way to go and we must be cautious," declared the Portuguese.
"Milan, Juve and even Roma can battle for the league title.
"Before I arrived at Inter, Roma cut a 12-point gap to go into the last game of the season putting pressure on Inter, who ended up winning the Scudetto."
AS Roma captain Francesco Totti has been boosted by the news that he did not suffer a serious knee injury during Sunday's 2-0 win over Parma.
The 33-year-old playmaker was taken to hospital for scans amid fears of a serious injury to his troublesome right knee.
However, he has now been told to rest up before returning to action when Serie A resumes in the New Year.
"I was scared, but I am happy that it is nothing serious," said Totti. "I think I will be available when the season re-starts in the new year."
Last week Totti finally out pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him with the Giallorossi until 2014.
Fabio Cannavaro has urged everybody connected with Juventus to unite in a bid to improve results at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Turin giants slipped nine points off the pace in Serie A after losing 2-1 to rock bottom Catania at the weekend.
Their patchy domestic form and failure to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League has led to suggestions that rookie coach Ciro Ferrara could be sacked, but experienced defender Cannavaro has called for unity.
"The results over the past month have not been good but we have to work more and give plenty," he said.
"I don't think we have become poor all of a sudden. We need recover the injured players and have a bit of luck because we always seem to concede a goal at the first action.
"We hope that the new year brings us better results."
