Your support makes all the difference.Joel Campbell, the Arsenal forward on loan at Olympiakos who scored for the Greek side in their 2-0 Champions League last-16 first leg triumph over Manchester United on Tuesday night, claims he wants to return to his parent club next season and experience playing in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old Costa Rican is now known as the only Arsenal player to score against United this season, after the Gunners failed to score in both of their Premier League matches against David Moyes' side, and has stated that he is very interested to finally make a go of things with the north London club next season.
Campbell signed for Arsene Wenger's side in 2011 on a five-year deal, but after failing to secure a work permit had loan spells with Lorient in France, Real Betis in Spain, and now Olympiakos in Greece. He now, however, has the necessary paperwork to play in England, who he will face in the World Cup over the summer, next season.
"I am still hopeful of playing for Arsenal but I have not been given the chance yet, I hope to keep working at Olympiakos," he told ESPN after the victory.
"I am making sure that I take this opportunity."
Campbell, though, has admitted that there is still plenty of work to be done in the second leg at Old Trafford in three weeks time, despite the Greek team's advantage.
"We played very well against a very good team and we weren't intimidated," he said.
"There is still a very hard game at Old Trafford and we hope to advance to the next round.
"Thank God I scored a goal and celebrated it with my father, girlfriend and cousins.
"There are many things I can improve on though, I am 21 and I have to keep working."
