One of the great overhead kicks ever was scored over the weekend - in the Spanish third tier.

Both UD Socuellamos and CD Toledo are challenging for a play-off and promotion push in the Spanish Segunda Division B and were fighting out what had been a scoreless scrap at the Estadio Pauquito Jimenez.

That was until a moment of inspiration from 33-year-old striker Javi Gomez, whose goal will be remembered alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco van Basten, Wayne Rooney, Trevor Sinclair and Rivaldo.

With 20 minutes left Gomez chested a long ball down and unleashed an unstoppable bicycle kick from more than 30 yards away that looped over the goalkeeper and handed Socuellamos all three points

Gomez's 14th goal of the season moved Socuellamos above Toledo and into the play-off places with just three games left.
